Marketing Manager, Trade Associations
GoLightly has an ongoing part-time contract position open for a Marketing Manager, working from home and/or from our Mill Valley office (10 minutes North of Golden Gate Bridge). We are looking for a motivated, organized and passionate team player to accelerate the marketing of our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) through our partnerships and sales channels in the trade association marketplace.Play a key role in growing our well-positioned business through leveraging existing partnerships and sales channels. We seek a strategic, charismatic, relationship-oriented people-person. You should be a technical perfectionist (and evangelist) with a desire to be a thought leader, and must be driven by the quality of your work and goal achievement. This is a perfect position for a marketing professional interested in trade associations and nonprofits. We care passionately about what we do, and have fun doing it.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and evolve product positioning and messaging
- Blog and Tweet regularly
- Produce monthly newsletters
- Form and manage relationships with 40+ VARs in our channel. Work with the channel to help our sales team close sales in a competitive, relationship-oriented ecosystem.
- Support the sales team by developing sales & marketing materials
- Perform surveys of existing clients so we can stay on top of and articulate best practices, and create case studies
- Issue Press Releases and maintain relationships with media
- Manage Tradeshow participation and Google Adwords campaigns
- Includes quarterly travel
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ Years experience doing marketing for software or SaaS company
- 1+ Years experience with channel relationships or partnership management
- Strong entrepreneurial problem solving skills, can-do attitude
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- LinkedIn and Facebook Profile
- Strong marketing eye and art direction capabilities
- Ability to make content edits to existing HTML pages
- Must be a self-starter and enjoy working in a small team
- Expect top quality from self and coworkers
- Good sense of humor
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong track record with "name brand" SaaS companies and/or technology companies
- Experience articulating competitive advantages of one software offering over another
- Online community management experience
- Public speaking and/or Blogging experience a plus
- Experience in the association market. 1-4 years experience working with multiple nonprofits and/or membership associations.
- Experience producing short marketing videos (i.e., Camtasia Studio)

Senior Technical Project Manager & Trainer
GoLightly has an ongoing contract position (5 - 10 hours per week) for a proven, motivated, technical project manager/trainer with experience managing complex website deployments. We work with GREAT organizations in a wide variety of fields, so this is an ideal position for a person who wants to learn about the world of trade associations and nonprofits. The position requires 1 - 2 days per month working in our Mill Valley office (10 minutes North of Golden Gate Bridge).Required Qualifications:
- 2+ Years managing the deliverables of a technical team (web or software)
- Must love to help people learn (via webcast and phone)
- Strong technical problem solving skills, engineering experience preferred
- Your emails are well written, concise, intelligent, and show your attention to detail
- Strong HTML & art direction experience (out-of-place pixels annoy you)
- Must be a driven self-starter and enjoy working in a small team

Senior Web Developer CSS/DHTML/Javascript (Contract)
GoLightly has several 6-12 hour projects each month that require a web developer to customize a community style sheet to match a client's existing website brand. You will modify and extend our style sheets, build pages from visual designs, and debug existing styles, working in close collaboration with our team of designers and engineers. We seek a motivated, organized and thorough team player or partner firm. You should be a perfectionist and be motivated by the quality of your work and client satisfaction. We care passionately about what we do, and have fun doing it.Qualifications (Must haves):
- Expert level knowledge of CSS, DHTML, Javascript, especially cross-browser compatibility
- Must be a self-starter and follow-through obsessively
- Image preparation skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, good with web asset preparation)
- Expect top quality from self and coworkers
- Want to be part of a small, very experienced team doing excellent work
