Email Listservs
Each GoLightly Group contains its own listserv, and each group and each group moderator has a specific email address. Members can add as many of their own email addresses as they’d like into their profile. The email listserv is a very important part of the GoLightly platform – we have sent over 70 Million emails across all of our client communities.
1) Receiving emails: Every member can decide on a group-by-group basis to have those emails delivered immediately or as a daily digest to whichever of their own email addresses they choose, or view the group’s emails on the web.
2) Sending emails: To send emails, members can either log in to the group home page and click on a mail link, or they can send their email from their own email client, such as Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo!Mail, etc. Emails sent from the member’s own email client can be plain text or HTML, and can include attachments. The moderator can require moderator approval before emails are actually delivered, and can also preclude people who aren’t group members from sending email to the group. Members can send emails to another individual member, even if they do not know that other individual’s email address, using the email form provided for each member in the Community Directory.
