Adding a custom tab to the top nav

I found the navigation_topnav page and tried to used one of the custom tabs, but it's not showing. Any documentation on how to do this would be helpful.

You need to go to Admin Tools, Database Settings, select the Navigation tab.

Turn the database setting 'top_nav_custom_tab1_on' to True.
Click on 'clicking here' in the description of this tab to edit the URL.
If you want the link to open in a new window, set 'top_nav_custom_tab1_open_in_new_window' to True.

If you want to use further tabs , there are a total of 4 you can use.
- tab1 tab2 tab 3 tab4

I would like to change the order of tabs from left to right as well as add new sub tabs under custom tab1. How is that done?

You can change the order of those top navigation items by specifying a new sort order in the database field 'top_nav_items_sort_order'.

I have replied to you separately also in a new support case with further clarification on this.
