If you have Office (WORD, POWERPOINT, EXCEL) documents that you want to upload to your library, then you should consider if these are for viewing only, or if you want to allow your members to download that Office document for further edits.
If they are intended for viewing only then you can save them as a pdf file and upload the pdf file to your library. The ‘Save as PDF’ option is available from the OFFICE programs.
A pdf file will open directly in a browser window as opposed to an Office document which first will be downloaded to a member’s local drive and then the relevant OFFICE program will need to run to view the file.
If you want your members to be able to edit the Library document, they will need to download it, make their edits, and then upload the new version to the library.
