Default Investigating email delivery delays

If you are experiencing delays in your listserv email notifications, please note the following:
  • Are you emailing from the web interface or from your email program?
  • Are you emailing the entire list or just a selected person (e.g., Moderator)?
  • Monitor the delays in email delivery and see if the delays are a constant problem, as email servers tend to be inconsistent with their delivery times.
  • Is more than one user experiencing delays?
  • Have you asked your IT department if there is an enforced email delay?
  • Be sure to add the community group email domain address to your safe list (e.g., @mycommunity.com)
